THE DOCTOR? WHO?
My first exposure to Dr. Who was the terrible American Fox adaptation starring Eric Roberts as The Master... despite this, my interest ebbed and flowed for years until Christopher Eccleston's manic take on The Doctor finally hooked me. It was his borderline insane-- with a dash of death wish--performance that was both fascinating and sad.
The Doctor was a gift for the biggest Dr. Who fan I know, as well as one of the first pieces completed in 2013. He utilizes a Snake Eyes torso, Cobra Commander legs, a BBI head, and a random coat I found in the fodder graveyard. The good Doctor's sonic screwdriver was cobbled together from lightsaber bits and greebles.
While he's not 100% on-model (I didn't really have any bases hip enough to rock a V-neck shirt), he's close enough, and he was received so well that a whole series is planned. The Doctor does have a number of very fun villains...
